I just discovered this wonderful writer. This is the first book I've read by him. It's about a twenty-something teacher who's madly in love with a younger, offbeat girl. She get's a job with a middle-aged woman who she falls madly in love with. The older woman, Miu, hires her to be her assistant and to two of them go on a business trip to Europe together and then things get strange. Very strange. It's a beautifully written book and I think the translator did a marvelous job. I 'm definitely going to check out the other books he's written.
